What are PLD files?

PLD files are text files containing source code that enable you to program PALs and GALs. So although they have the extension 'PLD', they should be readable and editable by any decent text editor IMHO.

I use the DOS program CUPL from 1992 to compile the sources. The main reason I prefer this above the Windows version, WinCUPL, is the fact that I can embed it in a batch file. My main text editor, PSPad editor, enables one to start up a compiler or other program for every extension. This feature enables me to compile sources on the fly just to see if things are still fine.
